Site Information for Installation Planning

Providing accurate site information is critical for effective planning, including logistics such as HIAB requirements and site visits. Please provide the following details:

Health & Safety Requirements for Installation
Health and safety are our top priority. Please provide the following information to help us ensure a safe installation:

  • Building Type: Specify what type of building/location the board is going into.
  • Site Security: Indicate whether the board is located in a secure compound.
  • Location: Indoor / Outdoor (See this link for considerations as we do not supply external enclosures)
  • Access Requirements: Provide any unique access requirements, such as road closures, parking restrictions, or HIAB access limitations.
  • Building Layout and Hazards: Provide details about the building layout, potential hazards, and any challenges along the route to the installation location. This will help us assess risks and plan accordingly. The route for unloading to the final room being the biggest insight into possible requirements.

Consideration for Route and Access Challenges

We need to consider the route distance and access challenges for transporting the board to its installation location. This includes both wall-mounted boards (which may need to be broken into pieces) and floor-standing boards. For example:

  • Elevated Buildings: If the building is elevated and involves several steps, a HIAB may be needed to lift and drop the board parts onto a walkway or first level.
  • Wall-Mounted Boards: The board may be broken into smaller pieces for easier transportation, depending on the access route we may also need a Hiab to lower parts onto a first floor walkway. Traversing over a few steps requires mechanical intervention. IF this is the case then please let us know pre-tender.
  • Floor-Standing Boards: Special considerations may be needed for buildings with difficult access, including HIAB assistance for lifting parts to the appropriate level.

Providing detailed information about any such challenges will help us plan accordingly and ensure the board is delivered and installed efficiently. We will definitely require full building details. See here for more details regarding moving of parts. This page is important in respect to employee safety. We may choose to get a lifting and moving survey done. Then have a dedicated move team take care of the moving of parts. It is always finding the best fit for safety of all involved on a project by project basis.

Working Hours & Installation Scheduling

Let us know if the installation work will be performed during normal working hours or outside of normal hours. If special hours are required, please provide additional details to assist with scheduling.

The wort case being the contractor paying for an aborted visit due to an oversight at tinder stage.

Providing relevant health and safety documentation is crucial to avoid unexpected delays or costs. Read this page for more consideration on the lifting should it be required. We need to know the building / route and everything else involved.
